antique 19th century optical toy Praxinoscope, breveté SGDG by Emile Reynaud ( 1844- 1918 ) marked ER it consists of a cylinder and a strip of paper showing frames for aniamtion. as the cylinder rotates, mirrors in the centre reveal a single image in motion wooden base with a metal cylinder, and candle-holder shade upstairs is missing 16/17 strips, some double very good condition some strips used height 22 cm- 42 cm/ diameter cylinder 22 cm
